Marta Liliana Medina, known as Dj Velasca, has been inspired by all corners of the world. She was born in Bogota, Colombia, but spent her early years in Madrid, Spain and is now based in Germany. Music came into her life at an early age, playing from classical guitar to bossa nova. It is in 1999 when she enters the world of electronic music influenced by Detroit sounds and in 2005 when, together with her Mentor Webs, she starts her debut on the electronic circuit.

Her sounds started out being influenced by the original Detroit Techno and over the years she has been influenced by Chicago House and electroclash.

Velasca besides being a talented Dj is a cardiac surgeon, so her appearances on the scene are sporadic.

With her vinyls, she transports her audience to another level of electronic music on the dancefloor.
